Tucked away in the highland cloud forest, Los Quetzales EcoLodge & Spa is ideal for those longing to retreat from the hustle and bustle of modern living. At 7,260 feet above sea level (2,200 meters), the reserve has one of the highest lodging facilities in the country. We are located near the 407,000-acre Parque Internacional La Amistad, straddling Costa Rica and Panama. Our 400-hectare reserve has been protected by the private efforts of its founders since 1970

It is our privilege to be one of the few eco-vacation resorts in Panama or Costa Rica that offers overnight accommodations inside a national park. Our climate varies from 75°F (23°C) on a sunny day to 45°F (7°C) on our chilliest winter night.

Visitors love exploring our unique microclimate, which has a very low presence of biting insects — mosquitoes and other insects are rarely seen thanks to the cool, clean mountain air. This makes our area ideal for adventurers and families looking for a peaceful spot to reconnect with nature and enjoy our warm hospitality. We welcome you to your home away from home!
