Hiking the Crater of the Volcano

From our location it is only 5 minutes walking to the entrance of the nature reserve. From there you can either decide to go to the top in a truck or for the die hards, hike to the top. The hike will take you at least one and a half hour and you need to be in top condition! The truck will take you up in about half an hour with a 10 minute stop at the coffee plantation for a taste of the local grown coffee.

At the top you will arrive at the eco station, from there you can either do the regular trail 1.5 km with spectacular views or the Puma Trail of 4.5 km, also this is for the more experienced hiker! Take your time and take and eat something at the eco station while waiting for the truck back. Actually a must see while you are in Nicaragua!

Biking on Mombacho

Bring your own bike or use one of ours! Very nice trails lead you through parts of Nicaragua what we call, Off the beaten track! Mostly dirt roads through beautiful nature and along the homes of friendly people. You can make the tour as long as you like. You can also make a day trip to Granada, it is only 15 km, to go it is fast as you go down hill, to get back some steep climbs!

Canopy

Want to fly through the trees? One of the most visited activities around Granada is the famous canopy. You will fly from tree to tree at great speeds which gives you a lot of adrenaline! Only also 5 minutes walking from our location. Very safe to do, great instructors and all gear like helmets, gloves, etc are available at the site. Enjoy!

These are a couple of ideas to do while staying at our Campsite. Of course you can also just enjoy sitting on the porch of your Cabin just relaxing and watch the birds and enjoy a drink! We have a fully equipped kitchen where you can enjoy cooking your own meal.
